A corn-to-ethanol production facility which processes approximately 16 million bushels of corn annually into over 50 million gallons of fuel-grade ethanol. Ethanol is a clean burning substitute for petroleum.

We are proud to produce and support the development of renewable fuels. We must all recognize that a simple choice to use ethanol and purchase flex-fuel vehicles that run on higher blends of ethanol will someday reduce the impact that oil prices have on our lives.

Make Your Voice Heard TWICE at the EPA on the Latest RFS Proposal

Adkins Energy is asking all supporters to make your voice heard at the EPA and to our elected officials in Washington.

The 2017 Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs) is scheduled to be set at 14.8 billion gallons of renewable fuels like ethanol. That’s an increase from the 2016 number, but it is 200 million gallons short of the 15 billion gallon statutory volume for conventional biofuels in the original RFS.

In addition, the pending RFS proposal keeps the RVO for biodiesel and renewable diesel at 2.1 billion gallons in 2017– despite the fact that Americans used that same amount in 2015.  Biodiesel producers are poised to increase production above 2.5 billion gallons with plans for continued expansion and growth, making that volume a more reasonable and sustainable goal.

The formal comment period on the new RFS proposal is NOW OPEN and it’s time for ethanol and biodiesel supporters to make our voices heard!

Sending comments is easy.  Use one or all of the links below to share your concerns about:

·         Why you care about higher biodiesel and ethanol volumes

·         How biodiesel and ethanol production impacts jobs and the economy in our community

·         Your commitment to cutting pollution

·         Your concern about our continued dependence on foreign oil.

THANK YOU for helping us send a strong message to Washington about the importance of biodiesel and ethanol for the future of America.
